I just found out that a couple of large trees from the neigbor's yard hit my parents house during the storm. I don't know the exact extent of the damage yet but I do know that one breeched their bedroom upstairs. They got out alright and are at a neighbor's house. Without getting into too much detail, they are both older and my mother is sick so my father really has his hands full. I'm trying to do what I can remotely until I can get back to LI to help.
The 1st thing I think is to shore up the damage to prevent more. Their house has been a life long project of theirs with a lot of irreplaceable work that has been done so the less damage the better.
The 2nd thing would be the repair/restoration of the house while working with the insurance company.
Does anyone have a contact or a strong recommendation for a licensed professional contractor that can handle one or both? Someone that you would have work on your parents house and totally trust. Thank you al in advance. -John
