Tribal Blenny not reef safe

So I saw this fish in the store and just had to have it. Well the jokes on me I guess. A lot of websites that sell this fish say that they are reef safe however I personally can attest that they are anything but. This sucker ate a superman monti almost to death and it was a 5x5 inch colony the first day he was in the tank. The second day ate my large red monti plate should pulled through but did a number on it. Third day ate my digitata and completely ate my red planet dont think the red planet will make it also worked over my bottle brush. :debi: Well needless to say I was on a mission to get this guy out of my tank after an hour of trying to net him and contemplating harpooning him I was able to sneak up on him. So leason learned never ever ever get one of these they are evil.

I just googled Tribal Blenny, and there was at least 8 different accounts of what you've described. It all goes back to research, research, research. Live and learn. Sorry to hear about your experience.
