Does anyone have any good tip for getting a clam to attach to a rock you want it to. I got it to attach to a flat rock about 4 month ago then I put the flat rock in my rock work, the crocea slowly moved off it and eventually slipped to the bottom. It has show nice growth since I acquired it and now I am trying to get it to attach to the rock again but it keeps moving off of it.

It never fails. They attach to the rock that they want to, not the one that you want it to. Only if you are lucky are they the same rock.
I would try again to attach it to the flat rock in the substrate and then move it up.
If it won't stay put then it could be searching for more light or less flow.
