is it ok to keep a clam (probably crocea or maxima) with my frogspawn (or any other LPS for that matter) I was mostly wondering if their stinging can hurt the clams even if they are not touching

clams usually tolerate that pretty well. I wouldn't intentionally force contact, and it will certainly cause a reaction by the clams mantle, but if there is no contact, you should be fine.
