Trigger ID

LFS had this. About the size of a quarter. No one knew what it was. Any ideas? I thought it was a file fish until I looked closer. If it's reef safe like the blue throat I'd love to pick it up. If it will play nice with My blue throat...

Looks like a Titan trigger. Will get very aggressive and large. I would not get it

I agree. Googled juvenile titan trigger and it looks exactly like that. Super cool fish but no way it's going in my reef.

I've only ever seen one tartan trigger , ever ! And it was actually being kept it a fiberglass reinforced plastic tub , it will destroy everything

I encountered one while snorkeling in Tahiti, huge beautiful fish. I kept my distance, but managed to take a couple pics. I'll have to dig them up from the photo album.
