Trigger is not looking so good...

I just came home from work to find my trigger hiding sideways under a rock in the middle of the day. I thought it was an odd time for him to be sleeping and it was also feeding time. I begin feeding my eel and the trigger doesn't move to come out and feed. Normally he is a very aggressive eater. I move him from under the rock and find that he is breathing heavily and won't swim straight up and down but rather on his side. I put him in a QT and he looks like he might not make it. Any suggestions?

This happened to my trigger too. Whats your parameters? My pH kept dropping to 7.8 and eventually my trigger went blind. I had fixed the pH issue and he lived blind for sometime till I decided to try and treat him for a bacterial infection (thinking that was why he went blind). Needless to say he didnt make it. Something is off in your tank and stressing him.
