hey guys my triggerfish was bit by my eel in the feeding cycle a couple months back, and it looks to be infected now, what tips you guys have? Its his pectoral and its at the base from scales extending to fin. It has gotten worse in last 2 days, as in enlarged from a tiny bit of scar tissue to a lot. He eats and acts and swims very well and has always recovered from his injuries in the past (rescued him from a lfs where he had a rip near his mouth from other fish) I mean its impossible to see any signs of damage in his face, which is why I have been leaving him to his own natural immune/defense system. What you guys recommend that wont make my skimmer nuts!

If you like a certain antibiotic, it won't hurt anything to shut down your skimmer for the treatment period. Skimming is an ongoing process, not a vital daily one.

Too late to edit: I'd look for a product that is also anti-fungal as well as antibiotic. There are several commonly available. Fungal infections are very common with fish.
