I have a picasso trigger and he rubs on the rocks and SB. He has no signs of ich and is feeding awesome. Have had the fish for about 3 yrs and he seems to have always done this. Please help! Im losing fish, Clarkii died last week after 5 yrs, Foxface has ich and scopas just got over it and is healing well. I think my potters angel brought it in from LFS. All are feeding fine. I lost my lionfish today. White fuzz formed on him and then died.

Sounds like gill flukes I have a simular problem.Try freshwater dips and formalin baths, also add praquentrel a dewormer to his food.
Sorry to here about your loss!I myself have lost 12 fish since christmas so I feel your frustation.
Also try Puffer Queen's threads at marinedepot.com under the fish forums in the team marine depot fish diseases.
Goodluck
Chris
PS if you do a freshwater dip just make sure it is dechlorinated water of the same ph and temp as the tank the fish came from.

How often do you feed? What are you water parameters? Could be a ph problem that has lowered their resistance. They can usually fight this off but you have to make them real happy. Try feeding 2-3 medium meals per day and keep you ph steady. They will usually fight it off. Sorry to hear about your losses but I don't care how long you have been doing this we all lose fish from time to time. It's just part of it. Good luck.

My trigger has the same symptoms. When giving a freshwater dip, how long do you leave your fish in fresh water?
