Been trying to find the right sump for awhile now, and I like how this is built and the size however the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is my skimmer and the skimmer part of the sump. I am probably over thinking it and should just listen to the measurements but I do not know if my SSA CS180 will fit because of the brace and sock holder. Skimmer has a footprint of around 10x7.2. Just wanting some feedback on this before the purchase, only stupid question is the one that isn't asked right?

It would fit just fine for you however you will probably have to lean the skimmer away from the filter sock just slightly when you're changing it out. It's not really a big deal though and easy to do.

i got mine last week, custom size 42x16x18. Sump area is 14.5 x 16 and fits my SRO3000

you are correct, the sock holders and probe mount does get in the way a tad, however the second pic shows how i rotated the skimmer and it is now in the corner with room away from the socks. another 1/2" and would have room to rotate pump so it sits parallel to the baffle but i am happy with how it sits.
