Well none of my triggers have posed a single problem....all inverts have been safe to date minus one cleanershrimp, but I accidently chased him out into the open after he shed. I thought it was the shedding I was netting....turned out it was him. When he got out of the net it was already over.

No fish missing, pertaining to small fish. No corals getting nipped on. So far so good. They actually seem to school at times...and what makes it funny is the Picasso is the leader of the pack....he is smaller than a quarter. All other triggers are around 3 to 4 inches.

Seriously, not even those little rogue starfish have been messed with. I did see the picasso eat a hermit that was out of his shell, but then again I have seen my tang do that and my wrasse.

yeah I am having a tank built as we speak. I plan to do a trigger only reef tank soon. I will be adding a few more triggers when tank is done and running.

Cool tank - how many triggers total are in there? I think I see at least 3 pink tails and a blue throat and one I'm not sure of?

Sorry about that shrimp but it pretty much confirms the idea that fish often consider things already in the tank as non-food and things added to their home after them as potential food :D

I'm impressed you've got all those triggers in a reef with no problems. I would be worried that one day one of them would get coral hungry and start going to town. Also, ccampbell57, I think he only has 3 but your right, 6 would be madness. I'm not sure I would do 3!

Anyways...I would love to get a Niger Trigger but i've always read the Blue Throat is the only reef safe trigger out there. Any thoughts on that?

I count I *think* 7 triggers in there...

I can see 4 pinktails, a bluethroat, he said there is a picasso and it looks to me like there is one unidentified right in the middle of the tank turning towards the camera. That one in the middle might be the picasso, so probably just 6 triggers. JUST SIX in a 72g tank.

I also see two purple tangs...

I'd have to agree with ccamp, it's just waiting for disaster to strike.

Sedor - look at the picture. There are 4 pinktails and at least 2 blue throats and 1 huma...so I misscounted...there are 7

CA2OR, you are one crazy cat to have that many triggers in a 72g bowfront. Well if you end up needing more cleanup crew items or coral frags, you will definately know who to call. LOL ;)

I am suprised there isn't some more good ole bashin going on up in here with all those awesome triggers in a 72g bowfront and thats not to mention all the other cool fish like your tang(s), etc.

Also please note that this man really does have a trigger packed tank. I know him in person and he is way more gutsy than I could ever be.

I'll second this! If it shouldn't be done he will try it to see if your right!!!:blown:

Heck, you should get a sargassum too so you have all the triggers that are thought to be somewhat reefsafe, and one thats not(HUMA HUMA:eek1:)
