has anybody kept a panther grouper and a niger triger together
have a 90 gal will be upgrading to 155, currently a 4 inch trigger, tusk 6 inches and a snowflake eel 16 inches. will a 4 inch panther
grouper be ok before I switch in 6-8 months to a 155.

A 155 will not be big enough panther groupers get huge and thy get ugly when they get big.

The trigger should work fine with it.

You are right, after I wrote this did more thinking and no, but would like to put another fish in the tank.

What about a Miniatus grouper?

They are very nice looking and do not get to big around a foot or so.

That would be a great idea, do you think it would bagger the tusk.

No since it will be added after the tusk it should be ok.

Just get it smaller then the tusk as that will help to.

Miniatus grouper is a great fish and has great character.

Niger reach 19" but more like 15-16" in tanks. Although my friend has one that is definitely approaching the 18" size. Its in a 180G.

I agree with the Miniatus Grouper being a good choice. They do loose some color when they age though.

The only thing miniatus grouper will be hard to find, are the seasonal like tusk
