Hi!

I used this treatment and it cured my fish.
But what do I do after a week now in the copper water? Slowly decrease the copper with water changes?
Fish had velvet ( looked like ich but had some skin come loose and kept swimming in the currents of poweheads).
Or do I keep them in copper water for the full quarantine period?

once it appears it is clear you should continue treating for a week before removing with carbon. then they should stay in the hospital aquarium for at least 6 weeks. so the velvet will die in the display tank. If it appears to re-occur i'd recommend trying Chloroquine Phosphate instead (New Life Spectrum ick shield: powder, not the food) it is much more effective, treat at 10mg/l-20mg/l.
