Tripp-Lite APS POwerVerter set-up help

I purchased a APS PowerVerter and a Optima deep cell gel battery. I am following the instructions but I can not get the two two work together. I battery works fine with a regular inverter and charger but for some reason I can not get the APS to work. I get everything connected and in about 5 seconds the inverter shuts off - the green lie lights stay on, but the powerhead stops working and the battery lights al start to flash. I am assuming that I am setting the dip switches wrong but I can not figure this out.

Any ideas????
