So everything else looked great, besides my I is at 0!

Right now I am dosing Lugols but only at 1 drop a day on my 180 gallon, I know I should probably be dosing a lot more but I was playing it safe.

I am changing 20% of my water every week with Instant Ocean and dosing 2 part for alk/calc.

So now I really want to do something for I, but clearly it seems like Lugols does nothing or I am just dosing enough that the corals are soaking up within a couple hours.

Which type of I did the Triton test for? There are like a dozen different kinds... some matter more than others. Luglos is not a particularly helpful form, IIRC - this is from memory, so don't take this as gospel.

Have you been changing water? If so, then you should be OK on I. EDIT: sorry, I see in your first post that you are changing water. My bad. I would no sweat this.

Have you read Dr. Holmes-Farley's article(s) on Iodine lately? They might help a bit if you know which type of I that got tested for.

Speaking of Randy, here is his take on this test. Seems I is not of any concern accroding to his findings. http://www.reefedition.com/my-triton-testing-results-by-randy-holmes-farley/

Iodate might help some - you can get this from Seachem or Brighwell, or the like. I would not sweat this at all. I used to mess with I for years and I don't think that it did a thing.
