Triton Test Kit

Amazing you say that CA ESV dosing has your lithium on the high side. I also dose ESV va and Alk two part maybe it's not as good as once thought. As,for the aluminum I don't use phosguard at it it has been over a year since I used it. I do dose every 15 days prodibio iodi+ and I was dosing lugos 4 drops every 7 days. I have since stopped the lugos solution the last time I added it was October 6th 2014 boy do I have some work cut out for me.
But I also was thinking could all the clams mussels and oysters cause this spike as well? I do feed 5 to 6 mls of pappone weekly.

Very familiar with the papone as I have read your write ups about it in the past. I traced the lithium possibility from old posts and Randy said it wasn't that much cause for concern but yours is quite high. 4 drops of lugols is allot and maybe getting some from the food you feed as well. What salt do you use again?

I don't hink its a bad salt mix and I think my levels are elevated not because of the salt brand but the additives. So I need to do some water changes and scale back on the additives. Iodi+ will be the first to be stoped. I will still continue with the carbon dosing and two part I have no idea what to do. If ESV calcium is the cause then what brand is better?

Not sure the ESV caused that much spike in lithium? I would do a wc or so and dial back the addidatives as you mentioned.

I used it as a test on my salt. Being that I was changing so much water every week, I wanted to be sure.. and the results were just what I wanted to see. I have since moved to changes every few weeks, and stopped testing pretty much everything, just doing top off and feeding now. My tank is on auto pilot and looks better than ever..

I used to do the same with my softie with a few monti sps nano tank each week (full water change) and it was a piece of cake also corals thrived. Not so easy when you have a larger tank also sps's seem to get shocked when doing that large of a water change no matter how accurate you get the ph, salinity, alk, cal, mag etc etc...

Regarding the triton testing, did they send you an email or did you have to log on. Also how long did it take for our testing to be done?

Took like two weeks and think you get a notification to log on a view the results. Very quick and simple.

Just looked back over the thread. Sent snail mail on 10/25, and had my results on 10/30. How's that for quick.

Ok so its been long enough i believe now something is a miss still haven't received an email yet. So i logged into our account and this is what i see (mind you i did everything as the instructions stated) I can't understand if there is an issue with my testing or not since it says "translation missing: en.customer.order_details.fulfilled_on ". Drop them an email as well. Not sure how you can screw up two separate bottles with writing your ID number on both.

Got results!

Got results!

Ok so I guess they finished since i logged in and it was there :-) here they are, I don't understand a few of the list items. Where is N04 and alk? Knew alum would be off the chart with the marine pure block. Also i'm using red sea blue bucket salt and b-ionic alk / cal with manual mg dosing of Red Sea reef foundation C.

Some random pics of the corals, tanks is still maturing, I'm pretty happy with the results and the system seems fine with the higher levels of Aluminum

can anyone test me where the big 5 are sorry i'm a little confused with the results. There isn't a cheat sheet for thoughts that don't understand the two letter.

Lol, your not going to see Alk or dkh/kh on these tests nor will you find nitrates or NO3. You get all the macro elements, heavy metals etc. Phospastes is at the bottom of course under PO4, and Mg and Ca are listed under the macro group. Google a periodic table to translate them.

I hear you there, but what is V Vanadium? That isn't in the periodic table

Your results are similar to mine. Elevated aluminum and lithium. I would chalk this up as good and carry on.

For reference after some digging, the aluminum could be elevated by my GFO, and the lithium might of been in my calcium dosing.
