A free frag of ORA Chip's Acro goes to the first person (SW VA Reef Club member) to answer this question: Approximately how many glasses of milk will the average cow give in her lifetime? Completely off topic I know but go with it..............

Winner must pick up by this Saturday 01/17 or prize will be forfeited and awarded to next months winner.....which means.....you guessed it....another question next month

If trick ? she doesnt produce "glasses of milk"........but i would say go with matt with about 20000, depends are you counting milk she produces for her calf...

okay....winner will be announced at some point tomorrow afternoon.....8 ounces to a cup...lets say thats a glass. Up to two guesses a person.....first correct answer is the winner

How's this...average annual production equal..."A cow will produce large amounts of milk over its lifetime. Certain breeds produce more milk than others; however, different breeds produce within a range of around 4,000 to over 10,000 kg of milk per annum. The average for dairy cows in the US in 2005 was 8,800 kg (19,576 pounds)."

"Dairy cows will continue to be productive members of the herd for many lactations. 10 or more lactations are not uncommon."

The math works out as follows: 19,576 pounds per annum X 10 lactations = 195,760 lifetimes pounds. A "glass" of milk = 8 oz or 1/2 pound. Ergo...lifetime production = 195,760 pounds X 2 glasses/pound or 391,520 glasses of milk per lifetime.
