Tropic Eden Miniflakes and Flakes in Stock?

The Miniflakes will blow around a little bit at first, but once it's weighted down with bacteria in that tank and matures some it will be just fine. We do have both of the sands in stock and ready to ship.
 
I really want the miniflakes but now I'm worried about them being all over. Is the miniflakes and regular flakes easy to siphon? I know the sugar sized sand can be a pain.
 
Both are pretty easy to siphon, although the Miniflakes can get sucked up a bit in a regular Python. Are you just wanting the Miniflakes because of the look, or?

Hi Jeremy,

I ordered the sampler pack last week and agree reef flakes are the way to go. The mini flakes in a SPS will just be all over the place. I do like the look of the mini flakes but don't want the sandstorm..lol. I placed my order last night for reef flakes on your website. Thanks!

I ordered three bags of the reef flakes from you in December. When it arrived they were of course frozen solid. Does that affect the integrity of the sand if its "live". Also, I haven't opened them yet as I am still waiting for the rest of my build to come together. Is it o.k if they aren't used and still un-opened in the packaging for 2-3 months. There isn't any best by date on the bags.

You would still most likely be just fine with some of the bacterial life forms in there. However, I can tell you that "live sand" that is pre-bagged from anyone is not loaded down with bacteria like you were to purchase in a bottle. Most hobbyists purchase the pre-bagged "live sand" because it's already rinsed and doesn't create as much of a dust cloud in the tank. Since Tropic Eden is so clean to begin with the dry bag Tropic Eden is just as clean as the pre-bagged "live sand" that is wet from CaribSea and others.
 
Thanks Jeremy. I think in additon to what I've already received from you I'll need a few more bags of the Grand Select and more "live reef flakes". Do you have an E.T.A on when you'll be getting more. This sand is awesome!

Our next shipment of both of those is due back in here the first week of April. We do have the dry Reefflakes in stock if that would work for you?
 
Thanks for the update. I think I'm going to mix it up and get a little of the grand select with the live reef flakes. I need 120 pounds so I'll order it all at once the day you get this stuff in. I'll be waiting with baited breathe. Hopefully it comes in that first week of April.
