Anybody using this, Im a big fan of you get what you pay for, also Im told you have to dose less chemicals because of its elevated levels. What do you guys think? Right now Im using Kent salt and not to impressed for what Im paying.

I swear by tropic marin, the tropicmarin pro reef is meant for those running a calcium reactor, so if you don't use one get the regular tropic marin, that's what I use.

I was really hyped about getting the tropic marin pro reef, and I wanted the 200g bucket, but the only thing close to that they had in the store was the 175gal bucket of red sea salt mix, with calcium and pH buff. That day I used it I saw a HUGE difference in corals. All corals are fully extended as we speak. I switched from oceanic. Yes, the red sea salt is cheaper then tropic marin, but I was well over impressed on the effect it had on my corals.

I've seen others say this as well. Why? TM Pro has more Calcium and MG in it than regular. I don't run a reactor but do keep my system at levels near TM pro. If I used regular TM I have to dose my saltwater before using it.

I have used it for three years now. My tank looks great. I get it for about $75.00 shiped. The 250 Gal bucket.

I have always been confused by that too -- if I am not mistaken it even says that on the container, will have to check it when I get home.

I use TMPro, for the heck of it I used a bucket of normal TM, had to dose a lot more. I have SPS in each tank, but no calcium reactor.

Is this for the PRO? I dont have a reator but think Im going to use it any way. If so where are you getting it shipped from?

keep it dry, it always dissolves instantly, great numbers at 1.026 s.g with a temp of 27 I wont go back to reefcrystals io or any others, I dont use a reactor and do use the pro, I dont know where that bit of onfo came from

It is actually on the side of the bucket. Not sure what it means, since I don't use any reactors.

Thats rubbish I am afraid, it says for use with calcium reactors OR calcium supplements.

I got the info from the website, "those using calcium reactors or calcium supplements" (mineral supplements).

That covers pretty much anyone with a reef tank me thinks.

It's all in the interpretation. I read this as if you have a high calcium load and need to a run a reactor or dose heavy amounts of Ca this salt is the better choice compared to regular TM.

I used RC, but after three bad buckets over three months I'm done with it.
