With this warm water we are having this summer has anyone seen any tropical strays yet?

it means tropical species venturing into the northern waters.

Would be fun to have a summer meeting where we do some beach seining. Never done it before, but sounds like fun.

I haven't done any collecting by the sound yet but I'm definitely interested. Check out this collecting thread from PaulB. Towards the end he has some cool stuff. Definitely would want a completely separate system for these, as I'd be paranoid about hitchhikers!!

I'd definitely be up for a Saturday or Sunday excursion with a seine - I've got one handy. Perhaps a future "meeting"?
