Trouble with HOB Overflow

This has me irritated. I discovered a leak on my floor today. It took me a while to find where it was coming from. It is my HOB overflow. I have had this thing running for sevral months with no problems. I admit when I initally set it up I had to fix it a couple times to get it right. I figured once I fixed it I would be all done. Sigh...Well here are some pics of how I set it up.

That shows my connection and the tubing I used. Note: This is not the side that is leaking. The side that is leaking has only only one clamp. So one possible solution is to add another clamp. Here is another pic:

Shows the type of flex hose I used. Should I have used something else? How can I fix this so it does not happen again? Sorry drilling is out...lol

One clamp should work on any connection IMO. The problem is the flex tubing your using is not smooth and cannot make a good seal. Maybe you can add a longer (6 to 8 inches) of PVC and then slip your flex over all of it to help. If you can't do that, try spa flex tubing to re-plumb with.

I would also not use the metal hose clamps, as they will rust in time. Try to find plastic clamps if you can.

Pull apart the tubing from bulkhead fitting. and use some silacone around the tubing area reseal and done.

and they are on the outside of the tube. They do not come in contact with water.

I like the idea Abyss. Is it that simple? Would I wait for the silicone to firm up and then put the band clamp back on?

I had the same problem and put silicone around the pipe and a little on the inside of the tube. When I put it back together I pushed the pipe about 3-4 inches into the tube and clamped it. No leaks since. Since it was an overflow without pressure I didn't wait for it to fully dry, only about 10 minutes.

Also if you have trouble forcing the pipe into the tube like I did you can use a hair dryer.
