Trouble with my true percs.

I recently got my tank back after about 9 months hiatus, due to me moving away(my fish shop was maintaining it). 46g vertical.

When we moved it back this Saturday, I got 2 small true percs they had in different tanks, they are doing GREAT together...

Problem is, they will go deeper than 8 inches, most of the time they hover at the top of the water, is this because they're so young... or because of the move? They were never in this tank before Saturday.

Also, they ate well for the first 2 days, but now the bigger one will not eat... he just swims around, looking happy, but will snub the brine shrimp and mysis... The smaller one will pig out. I'm going to try flakes tomorrow, but this is really concerning me...

Any clues?

Perculas are top tank swimmers...Oc's are mid tank swimmers. Obviously this is a generaliztion, but if they aren't hosting, it is quite common for true percs to stay at the water line...
