Elegance Coral,
I totally agree with you when it comes to Aussie vs. Indo. I have four Aussies and two Indos. Can't even compare the two when it comes to hardiness. Nonetheless, IMO, the Indo have such a variant of colors and a better looking coral than the Aussies. Perhaps there hasn't been many Aussies that have been exported and we have yet to see other morphs but the ones that I have seen just lack the flourescent green in the body itself. I am always on the lookout for Aussies but have yet to see anything different than what I already have. Most Aussies have the nice colored purple or pink tips but the body itself is pretty plain IMO.
On another note, my LFS imports elegance corals from the Island of Flores. I did some searching and discovered that Flores is at the upper tip of Australia. Although Flores Island is considered from Indonesia, the two elegances that I have are doing quite well so far. I have yet to own any Indo elegances that have lasted longer than a month (knock on wood). I am just wondering whether elegances that are harvested closer to Australia have a better chance of surviving in captivity.
