i have 125 it use to be in good shape I add 60lbs of sand 5 weeks ago my nitrates have been off the charts I can not seem to get them down and now i have green hair algae going crazy
That article covers nitrate problems, although only stony corals are likely to have problems with nitrate in the water column, of the animals that we commonly keep. Better skimming and growing and harvesting a macroalga probably are the two most common approaches. A phosphate reactor might help with the alga problem, as well.
