True Percula Clownfish Papua New Guinea

Just thought I would share some photos of my pair of Papua New Guinea Clownfish that I bought from Liveaquaria two years ago. Unlike other True Perculas that I have aquired in the past these guys had no problems from the start and have flourished in my aquarium ever since. They look different too, having a more smoky orange appearance than most True percs I've seen. They have now begun to breed regularly. Thanks for an amazing pair of fish!

I just had a question about treating internal infections. In the past I have seen fish waste away despite feeding well if not piggishly. If this is some form of internal infection/ internal parasites how would you at Liveaquaria proceed upon treating it?

Though each situation may differ you are able to use a medication such as Maracyn-Two , Metronidazole , or Formalin for internal parasites and infection.

In addition feeding Anti-Parasite medicated pellets help to control internal bacterial infections as well as external infections.

DO you think that spectrum pellets would be effective against fighting internal parasites?

The Spectrum company states their pellets will help prevent lateral line disease, as well as other ailments related to faltering health. We currently do not offer this item. We contacted the company New Life International Inc. with your questions and were told that this product will also boost the immune system of the fish. We apologize we are unable to determine if this food will also be effective against fighting internal parasites. If you would like to contact the manufacture as well, we will be happy to PM this information to you.
