Ignore what bbcoach4 said.
Those percs would be considered onyx. I would consider them onyx. They are beautiful nonetheless. Some will argue with the onyx label because they dont have black fins, and such but most people would consider them onyx.

Nice looking Percs Reef. I bought 2 a little over a week ago which look very similar tothose and got the same variety of answers }:c). I would say call them what you want, either weay the solid black from neck to tailfin is IMO one of the cooler color variations in all of clownfish.

they look like true to me because onyx are all black..i have a pair of onyx and they dont like anything thing like those.

All black are NOT onyx...they are Black and white ocellaris...which brings me back to another topic(I won't go deep...I'll save everyone the rant) about improper naming in the hobby.

Those are almost as onyx as they come. Absolutely beautiful fish. Some people would call them SI(solomon island) or PNG(papua new guinnea...sorry if I spelled that wrong) true percs, but the idea holds.

Onyx all the way!! My onyx clowns are nowhere near as colorful, but would still be considered onyx.
