Tryin to develop a pair out of these onyx and simi onyx percs

Well i have picked up a pair of clowns both from separate locations. Both are wild collected.
The onyx i have had for roughly a month or longer, and the other i just got a few days ago.
The onyx i believe is 1.5 inches and the semi is 1.25 but def smaller.
The problem is i dunno what sex they are. LOL I believe the semi is too young to be mature yet. I do see some side flipping in both fish when they fight, But i hate to see the lip locking and fin locking.
The larger one is not as aggressive as the smaller one.
What should i watch for incase i have to pull them apart.
Is it just let them beat each other till one is not able to come out?

Well i had a brainstorm. Looks like i have 2 that want to be a female, but since one lacks body size over the other they are disputing it. I have a jumbo female i decided to do a test with.
I took her male and added it with the onyx. Both seem peacefull together and the onyx is a good half a fish bigger than the male.
Now the ruf houser simi onyx (Lack of a better name) wants to be a tough girl I added her with big momma! She dwarfs the semi, and the semi cowers next to her. Not one dispute in the hour they have been together. Now to let the onyx mature into a female, and let big momma keep Jr in place. LOL

Big momma killed the little fish. Oh well the search for a onyx male continues. This time i'll make sure to ler jer grow some and get a tiny drone.

I got my onyx from a breeder local to me in the Chicago area. You can see them in my avatar. Have you thought about buying captive breed instead of WC?

Yeah i thought of a breeder, But for some reason they dont ever have complete markings. They are very nice dont get me wrong.
I am just a little anal i guess.

It will be difficult to find a male/immature with complete markings. The best way to accomplish your pair would be to get an immature and add it with your female, and hope the third stripe comes in.
