during power outage my gasoline generator cannot run the 5 ton AC. I am looking for a backup chiller for my 120 G tank. I may need it once a decade, and only to keep the water just below the high normal range in Miami summer.
additionally I am looking for a battery driven airstone pump for the same tank.
please give me your recommendations.

a larger generator or get a small window ac unit that your generator can run and keep the room your tank is in cool.
battery pumps can be found on amazon . I have bait well pumps for boat live well and bilge pump for water movement.. I used them before generator .. ran them off the deep cycle batteries for my boats trolling motor

thank you for your response. I am not familiar with the bait or bilge pumps you mentioned. do they aerate in addition to circulate water? I am looking for a battery driven airstone pump for 120 gallon as oxygenation backup until I get the generator running my circulation and air pumps.

if you can get your hands on some ice fill a cooler and run hoses through the ice box as the water travels it will cool it. You can use your main pump.
you would need to be home in order to maintain the temperature in the desired range. and to refill the ice.

however ice might not be an option long term.
