Trying to figure out my cycle

Ive been at 0.25 nitrites for what seems like atleast a week. Trying to cycle my QT.
Normally to be stuck there this long?

What test kit are you using? Some, like API, are notoriously inaccurate.

Try Salifert. Less color matching, more numbers. Numbers don't have a 'kinda pink.' It takes about 4 weeks to cycle, but if you suspect you missed the peak, just drop some (very, very litte) fishfood in and see it ammonia shows. Keep doing it daily. I actually cycle a new tank simply by adding some fishfood every day and waiting for the ammonia and waiting for it to go away.
