I have been researching why my Zoanthids have closed up and string like "hair" have come off of the colony. I can't seem to find an exact match, some are close but not quite. So I figure I would take come pics and post them. First the water perms:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Calcium 440
Alk 9.3
Phos: 0
Ph: 8.2
SG: 1.025
Mg: 1300
I perform Water changes weekly, I have good growth on all my corals, and in the picture to the left of this colony is a frag FROM this colony, it was split maybe 2 months ago, so it has the same flow, same conditions and hence why I am confused. Here are the pics:
The Colony that's closed, pic is kinda fuzzy, notice red hairlike structures at the back:

Picture of sister colony next door:

Another pic of the Colony and surrounding area:

There is a Trumpet coral near by but it wasn't there when this started so I discounted that out of hand, but I can move it. It did start when I saw these hair structures growing in the back. They are long and reddish and don't grow terribly fast. Any ideas? Move it down the rocks? Pull out the hairs? I own some seachem reef dip and was thinking of that.
Thanks for your help and ideas.
