Well, new to the forums.. found em thnks to a DIY tank stand... =D ANyways, was checking a local coral shop today, and he was telling me about his lighting.. He wont tell me the brand or where to get them.. except through him of course..
He had a series of bulbs mounted to 1/4's and wired with lampwire.. Now each bulb had 3 LED's in it... they were NOT the screw in type bulbs, but had 2 vaguely "T" looking posts.. He said he had to order the lights, and the sockets.. and for a 37 gallon tank, 30.5 inches wide, it would be about $70 total.. I like the idea of this and the way the lights looked and how good the tanks were growing and looking with that setup!
He used 2 different bulbs, one with 3 blue led's and one with 3 white.. Each bulb was approximately 3 inches in length.. Had kind of silver heatsink looking set of fins on the ends where the LED's were..
I've been googling for over an hour, and cant figure out what these are that he is using.. Has anyone else seen anything like that? and if so, where?! If I cant find them, I guess I will order through him, I just prefer to find it and order it for myself..
