Well, I finally put my TS/24 kit online on my 280 reef and all I can say is wow!!!!! This setup is incredible. I always had a problem with deadspots and detritus accumulation. I think that problem will be over. I turkey basted all of the rocks with the pumps running and you would not believe how quickly it was swept away and into the overflows. The skimmer is working overtime now that all this detritus is dislodged. I'll keep turkey basting every day now till most of the rocks are cleared up. I also have a minor flatworm infestation. Hopefully the stream pumps will help reduce that problem as well by removing detritus and increasing flow. Sure looks like my investment will be paying off. The SPS, LPS and softies all seem to love the extra flow as well. Polyp extension on the sps is great. Only one question Roger. My photoelectric cell is not detecting light till all the VHO's are on. Probably has something to do with cell placement. My problem is that the cable is a bit too short preventing me from placing the cell in the optimal position under the lights. Any chance of getting extensions? Would you unplug the photoelectric cell and leave the tank on random current for the first while till all the detritus is cleared. Perhaps I should move the controller to a new position where i can gain a couple of feet. Thoughts? What settings would you put channels 1 and 2 at for the best results in a six foot tank. I currently have channel 1 at 30 and 100% and channel 2 at 40 and 100%. How about the pulse interval. What would you recommend. Thanks in advance for any advice. Looks like a winner.
