TS07 placement on 90g?

Hi
I'm not sure how to place the Tunze 6000 on my tank. I do not have overflows sectioned off in my tank. They are drilled at the top and there are no dividers to provide space for diagonal placement. The only option I can see is pointing the stream from one side of the tank to the other. If you have any advice, I would love to hear it. I did plan to order the magnet mount when available as I do not think my canopy would allow me to hang it from the top side of the tank.

If you have any additional questions, please let me know. And here is a photo of my tank for reference.

Also, I would love it if you could recommend what settings I should use on the controller. This is my first reef tank. I'm hoping this Stream will remove the clutter of the 4 MJ1200s for aesthetic reasons as well as providing a more interesting environment for future inhabitants. I thought about a wavemaker but after a lot of research, this looks to be the best piece of equipment available for the job. Also, I had issues with throwing the circuit breaker and wanted to cut down on power consumption. I am excited to get it working. It should be here tomorrow morning.

Thank you in advance!
Melissa

Why not place it just to the right of the return on the left side? This way you can clamp it over the back and aim it to the front to the right of the rock structure in the center. Position the pump 3" from the top. I think this one pump will more than replace what you have your structure is very light so I see no dead spots except to the left of the pump but I think your return and some bounce back will cover that.

Roger,
I have placed the stream where you suggested and it is great! I absolutely love the clean look of the tank without the powerheads everywhere. I anxiously await the release of the magnets for mounting the pump. I think they will be a wonderful addition. One of my favorite features of the controller is the food timer.

I have the settings on the surge to go from 100% to 40%. I have noticed at 100% a rattling noise coming from the stream. Do you know what the cause may be? It hasn't been in my system for very long and it is brand new. I'm not quite sure what the cause could be. When I first set it up, it was quiet at both settings. This buzzing noise just started a week ago or so.

Thank you!
Melissa

The magnets are trickling in and I was promised a larger shipment in the next couple weeks.

The noise is either a vibration from the pump touching the glass and either the suction cup or the rubber pieces that were included should stop this. Or the cause is an air bubble trapped inside and reinstalling the drive unit under water or just waiting another week or so should resolve this.

The other possibility is the parts still need time to wear in. It is like a new engine and it takes a couple weeks for most of the wear in to occur and get a proper fit to the parts.

Great, thanks a ton, Roger! I will wait and see whether the rattling stops on its own. It's not loud. I'm on a waiting list for the magnets and eagerly await their arrival!
