TTM and other treatments

So it DOESN'T have to be before 6AM?

I could do it the night before (say @63hrs) and it'd still be ok - just as long as it's <72hrs

Actually, some people do 2 day cycles rather than 3 day cycles, so they would do 2x2x2x2x2x2 for a total of 12 days.

you just need to make sure that each transfer or cycle is no more than 72 hours. I also try to perform each move 15 min earlier than the last just so i'm not cutting it so close to the 72 hour time frame. Am I being OCD about it, probably so. Do i want to chance running over 72 hours by a few minutes, nope.

OCD isn't a bad thing with TTM, but yes it is unnecessary.

The point of TTM is to first have the parasites jump off the fish, then the minimum amount of time it takes for them to encyst on a hard surface is 10 hours (2 hours for Protomont stage and 8 hours for the Tomont stage), then the minimum amount of time the cyst has to 'hatch' from the Tomite stage is 72 hours. So... really the amount of time is 82 hours rather than 72. Personally, I just take the mid-way point as my over/under @ 78 hours...

if 72 hours really was the hard-number to meet, then we would be doing transfers much earlier than that, leaving no wiggle-room.
