Ttm decon. Time

I forgot to clean my 5 gallon bucket for ttm. In the bucket I had the heater and elbow for the fish to hide. The bucket was filled with water 2 days ago. And sat outside as I went to work. I put some bleach now with water and let it sit for 2-3 hours and rinsed it. I just dried it with a towel. Do you think the water with bleach for 2-3 hours is good enough? I don't have time to dry for 24 hours. I am getting close to the 72 hour mark. So need to do the transfer soon.

Once it's dry, it's dry. Why would you wait 24 hrs?

On the sticky for ttm it says to make sure all equipment is dried for 24 hours or more.

Well I guess it you want it extra dry, if that even a thing lol go for it.

Some of things in this hobby written by "œexperts" are a bit ridiculous.

I "sterilize" my TTM buckets by dumping the used water in the slop sink, refilling with a gallon or so of tap, and pour a little bleach into there. swish it around well, dump, rinse again with tap and then towel dry. If I'm done with them, I don't bother with the towel.

Ok. Safe to say some bleach and water killed all the ich in the bucket and is ready for the next transfer.
