TTM/wrasse issue

I am doing TTM with a melanarus wrasse. Today is the last day-at 5pm it will have been 12 days, and he is in the 4th tank.

It is my understanding that he needs to come out of this tank by 5pm.

I put a small tupperware container with sand for him.

Problem is, he is 'sleeping in' today. He was out and eating yesterday, but took today off and is buried in the sand.

I know I am not supposed to dig for him. Not going to do that.

But, what happens if he does not come out...does this mean my TTM needs to start over? Transferring the container would violate the wet rule obviously.

Thoughts?

Maybe try to put some food in to get him out. Otherwise I think I would try gently moving or shaking the tupperware container.

tried food...no dice. I know they can go down for days.

Welp, he is two hours over.

So, since this is his forth tank or last 72 hour period of TTM, he be transferred out of this container for TTM to be effective?

If I were in your shoes I would feel confident waiting for him to come out.

..or pour the sand out of the container.
