Doug, I hope my post on that Tubs thread did not bring this on. I don't know you or most of the New Mars members for that fact but I think most of you are passionate and mean no harm.
I have been a member or involved with MARS since 2001/2002 and I have seen the club grow from 10-20 members to what it is now and think it's great. At the same I have also seen the hobby grow like wild fire! With that growth comes Passion and hard core hobbiest like yourself. 5 years ago there were only a hand full of "hard core" hobbiest in MARS, now half the members are what I call "hard core"
My post was not aimed at you directly but rather at Reefers as a whole. It is getting to the point in this hobby where it's hard to have fun when you pop on the net and see a bunch of grown men and women arguing over whether a coral is a "named" coral or not.
I like the named coral craze but at the same time seeing so much negativity about it makes me think twice about whether it is good or not for the hobby.
My main point of my post was to say...............It's a hobby.........hobbies are supposed to be enjoyable so please take a step back and enjoy all the hobby has to offer. After all in 10 years the only way you may be able to get corals is from a fellow reefer and by then no one will care if it's really a TUBS or not.
Hopefully no hard feelings
Peace
Rob
