Dude! So jealous...I watch my Tubastrea more than TV and I've never caught them in the act. Did you catch the planula in something?

Very cool to see that have had them before but never seen that.

hi matt

i didnt collect them because in this moment i didnt know what to do with it:lolspin:

tubastrea larves a little bit sticky because the larves just settle down if its dark. if there is lighting they dont settle down and swim again...

hi
my tubastrea have spawing 3times now since i have it two weeks.

after long tiime i found a green tubastrea. i got it from a friend in the local fishclub. the tubi had a long diät about 3 weeks because he was in the holidays.

I picked up one of those yesterday and I'm going to try and feed it tonight. It looks healthy thought it wasn't slimy to the touch.

I just need a pink one now and I'll be satisfied :). The only pink ones I've seen are either dyed or they're a deep pink but still have yellow polyps. I want the light pink one.

Very nice. How long did you have the Tubastrea before the event occured? Also did you notice any aquarium changes prior to the event? Water change, PH rise or drop, salinity rise or drop, etc...

Thanks

Mike

Ive had mine for a couple months the larger ones if had much longer. I keep my smaller suns in the sump they love the flow and are open almost 24/7. I had read that a guy had his power go out for over 2 hours and his suns started spawning. Funny because i had some in a tupperware to be traded and when i got to where i was going to suns had left me a ton of orange balls. I got back to the house pulled the larger suns set them in tupperware and about an hour later babies. And LOTS of them.
My suns are fed very well i spot mysis every other night and the sump suns seam to eat all day.
I think it would have to be the calm causing them to spawn.

Nice Alex! I've never seen spawning like that after a few minutes of getting in the tank. It actually loves your tank and water quality. Goodluck with the babies when you start seeing them in the tank.
