I just got a tube anenome today and wanted to know the best placement for them. Right now i have him on the sand under med flow like the LFS recomended but i want to make sure since he has given me bad advice before.
They generally prefer to be in fine sediments, often burying their foot quite deep in them. So, a deeper, fine sediment sand bed would be the ideal situation. Also, fine planktonic (animal-based) foods on a frequent basis would be a good idea also.
They eat anything. Even pellets. They reach out further in low flow but do OK in higher flows also. If it's settled in, don't try to move it. It uses a lot of energy digging and making a new tube.
