What size tubing hose do I use for tunze ato pump?

I tried the hose for RODI and it seems loose. it pumps water and all, but I don't like it being loose as it may come off and the pump will make a water fountain in the sump.

also, you really need to prime/purge the air out of the pump before it starts pumping water? I had to completely submerge it to let all the air out then insert the tubing under water to get it to pump water. If I insert the tubing out of the water and then submerge the pump, it does not pump any water.

Just cut a small piece off your existing tubing and match it up at the hardware store.

As for the air, you can just put the pump underwater, then shake it up and down a few times and it will start to pump. That's easier than trying to attach the hose underwater.
