So, looks like there is a possibility that I may get to tag along on a trip to tulsa this friday. I have never been to any of the fish stores there. If you could only go to 2 or 3 (that's all I will have time for) which one would you recommend most? Is scott k. with aquarium oddballs? does anyone know if the COMAS specials he had posted on the COMAS website are still valid? Thanks.

If I had to narrow it down to two, I would say Reef Revolutions and Aquarium Oddballs. But, Reef Revolutions, Ultimate Reefs, and Premier Aquatics are all within a mile of each other, so it would be a waste not visitting all of those. If you book it, you can see all four OMAS sponsoring stores pretty quickly. Here's some more info.

Aquarium Oddballs
Owner - Scott Tracey
6115 E 31st St
Tulsa, OK 74135
(918) 831-0099

Premier Aquatics
Owner - Scott Kosciolek
6125 South Sheridan Rd
Tulsa, OK 74136
(918) 497-1212

Reef Revolutions
Owner - Jason (I can't remember his last name)
6969 E. 71st St
Tulsa, OK 74133
(918) 392-1962

Ultimate Reefs
Owner - Shane Mooney (I think that's his last name)
6010 S. Memorial Dr
Tulsa, OK 74145
(918) 622-6366

What road do you think you are coming in on and I can help you with driving directions to travel to the most stores with the least amount of driving.

I know that Aquarium Oddballs should be getting in a large shipment of new corals this week, I definately would not miss stopping by there!

I missed a question. I believe that Reef Revolutions and Premier Aquatics does something for COMAS, but it wouldn't hurt to kindly ask Ultimate Reefs and Aquarium Oddballs.

I've been to the comas website and checked out the Tulsa LFSs. Scott K. posted on the main page that he is running a special buy two, get one free, people driving from okc get $25 gift cert to spend toward non sale stuff, etc. Is that offer still valid?

A friend of mine has to be at a specific location in tulsa at 6:30 pm to work on a network router or something for his work. we were going to go up a little early and check out a couple fish stores. I would love to check out all 4. Which ones are within walking distance of each other? maybe we can drive me to one or two and then he can go do his stuff and I can walk to the other two to keep myself entertained while he's working? Thanks for your help.

As far as I know, you'll have to ask him directly. You can call him at the above number or PM him at scott0615

None are within normal walking distance. The closes are within a hair less than a mile from each other. What area of Tulsa does your friend have to be at at 6:30pm and what time do you expect to arrive in Tulsa? I can help you with driving and time constraints. I have to do this a lot. ;)

Thanks Travis. maybe after lfs shopping he can just dump me off at the mall while he works. he said the work shouldn't take more than an hour. The place where he is doing his work is close to the airport. Anyway, I plan to get off work at about 1pm tomorrow afternoon, go to his place and then we drive to tulsa (via the I-44 turnpike) and be in tulsa around 3pm.

3 hours isn't long enough to get a true visit to all the stores, but if you hop in, say hello and briefly chat, hop in the car, and go to the next place you should make it there fine. Here is my suggested travel route......

....To be continued. I have to get a little work done first :D I gotta pay the bills after all.

ah well phooey. looks like my friend may not get to do the extra work in tulsa he was hoping for, and if he's not going then there's no free ride for me. Thanks for your help.

Okay, here it goes.

Take Turner Turnpike/I-44 towards Tulsa. Take the Creek Turnpike/I-64. It will curve around and turn into 169. Take the 61st Street Exit and head West to Memorial. Ultimate Reefs will be in the small shopping center on the Northwest corner of 61st and Memorial. Once you're finished at Ultimate Reefs, exit out the East side of the parking lot by turning South onto Memorial so you don't have to cross traffic. At the stop light of 61st and Memorial, take a right and head North on 61st to 61st and Sheridan. On the left hand side of 61st will be Premier Aquatics in a shopping mall. I prefer to enter the parking lot prior to the 61st and Sheridan intersection to avoid Sheridan traffic. The shop is located in the middle of the large hill behind the empty gas station. If you enter where I recommend, you won't be able to directly see the shop immediately when you enter the parking lot. After you finish there, head out the way you came in. You'll have to cross traffic, but 61st is less busy than Sheridan. Head to the 61st and Sheridan intersection and take a left to head South on Sheridan. You will reach 71st and Sheridan. Take a left and head back East towards Memorial. A few blocks past the 71st and Sheridan intersection will be Reef Revolutions on your left in a shopping mall behind Senior Tequilla's. Once you're done with Reef Revolutions, it's time to visit the store that is further away. Exit right on 71st and head West out of Reef Revolution's parking lot to 71st and Sheridan. At the intersection take a right to head North on Sheridan. Follow this all the way to 31st and Sheridan; about four miles. At 31st and Sheridan, take a left and head west on 31st. On your right will be a strip mall with Aquarium Oddballs in it. That's your final stop for OMAS Sponsoring stores. There are a lot of other stores in Tulsa, but I doubt you'll have time for it.

Here's diagram once you exit off of 169 and head towards Memorial. The little turns in the parking lot save you from having to cross busy roads. The shops are the blue blocks.
