I am wondering if the unit will be ok in the stand with high humidity/moisture?

Within reason, yes, it cannot withstand splashes and if the humidity is extreme, for example the cabinet is closed on all sides and the sump is wide open, that may be an issue. Ideally humidity is below 70%. The number one killer is unplugging the power from the osmolator and the DC output tip falls in water and is then plugged into the unit.
