Tunze 3155

I've just purchased an tunze 3155 and trying to set it up on my 80gallon tank. Every time a put the sensor on the line of the water where I want my water level to be set at it comes on after like 3 mins then pumps water into my tank and for it to stop I have to turn it of any reason why this is happening?

No it is not I've got an ato section built in with my sump on the left side of it. It holds around 17litres

The optic sensor only detects air vs water, is it possible that bubbles are accumulating on the optic sensor? I would rinse the optic sensor in warm soapy water to remove any oils and reposition it away from sources of bubbles and try again.

Thank you I've sorted the issue now.it was because of bubbles accumulating from my skimmer I've moved the magnet and sensor to sit in my return part of the sump. I've got another question can the Tunze mounting magnet (that is meant to be for external use) be placed under water in my sump. Will it cause any rust issues?

Both magnet halves are waterproof and submersible.
