Tunze 5017 ATO disable high water alarm

My high water alarm seems to be stuck in the ON mode, making a lot of racket and thus disabling any other features of my ATO. I tried cutting the wire to the sensor to disable and no luck. With wires open or connected the alarm and LED continue to stay on.

I have the controller box open and there is not any obvious corrosion on the front or back. There is one jumper, but other than that I don't see anything I can do to eliminate High Water Sensor feature so the Low water sensor can do it's job and kick off the pump to ATO.

I saw Roger's number to order another controller, but his voice mail says he is on vacation until next week and wouldn't know it, I'm leaving for vacation the end of next week.

Open to any ideas or sugesstions....

This error will generally mean the controller has water damage, it can be only one drop got to it. In some cases I have seen very humid conditions cause this and it will remedy once it is dry. The only other possibility can be a strong magnetic field near the controller. I would send it in for repair.

I took the alarm out and rely now on the float switch....only
should I send in the optical & the controller?

The float will eventually fail as it is mechanical and only intended as a backup. I would send it in. If you are in the us you will send it to me.
