Tunze 6000 and sand

I was in the middle of setting up my tank when I thought about turning on my Tunze 6000 to create current in the tank. I have a 75g and when the stream went on, the sand was stirred up and my water became cloudy again. About how long should I wait before turning on the Tunze?

Will I be okay with the sand if I start-up the overflow?

with nothing in the tank, i would wait over night and then start the overflow, let it clear a bit more and retry the tunze.
you may have to turn the tunze down at first then adjust it up as you go.
