Tunze 6025

I bought two of these pumps because Tunze came highly recommended. One of the pumps seems to be working while the other pump you cannot touch without it binding and making all kinds of noise. This happens while just sitting there already established. I contact Tunze USA and boy was that a rude experience. I was instructed to sand down the little blue controller inside the pump, which seems to be the issue. I tried with no success.

My contact with Tunze was a bad experience as well as my experience with these pumps. The bad part is i will never buy Tunze again because of the poor service I received along with a waste of money! I ultimately ended up telling the rep to quit harassing me as they were using words like " you just want to stir the pot"

Let's recap, you sent the vaguest email one could ever send. You claimed then and now that you had a 6025, yet you had the sliding flow adjustment of a 6045 and you also needed a silence clamp. I think essentially you were looking for a free upgrade to a 6045 front housing and the new silence clamp so when I offered the non silence clamp and walked you through easing the tension on the slide adjustment which does fit stiffly on purpose, that was not an acceptable solution (no free upgrade). You provided no proof otherwise, no invoice, no willingness to send it in and you basically thought you could brow beat us into something for free. I am happy we could help make your day.
 
I am a first time Tunze buyer. I have no idea about any other Tunze pumps, I was not looking for an upgrade, but thanks for your opinion.

I have attached a picture of the pumps I have and the Flow Control is the problem. Tunze never asked for anything for me to be willing. What i was offered was a older style clamp and instructed to sand down the flow control so that it would move more easily!

"Brow Beat" you say; I say LMAO! I have never herd of a company stalking someone down to bad mouth them on the internet. At least my claim still stands valid from my point. And now I have to defend myself because Tunze could not handle someone having a problem with their product.

If my email was so vague, then how can you assume All that ^ !

I thought reps were supposed to handle problems with products and customers, not assume things and turn them away for life. You could have at least held some product respect and told us why your product is failing, how I told you to quit harassing me via email like you are here, and at least tell everyone how Tunze handled things, But i think it's evident now :beer: !

You said 6025 in your email, in your post title here and elsewhere on RC where you randomly chimed in on someones thread.

I offered to send you a non silence clamp, because you did not like the silence clamp. I suggested sanding the inside of the outer tube of the 6045.131 because you said the travel of the inner slide was stiff, it is supposed to be, it locks in one of four positions and is stiff so it cannot move on its own. Both issues should be non issues but you want it to work in a way it is not intended, you want to be able to move it and adjust it on the fly instead of placing it and setting it and leaving it alone. Send in your pump, with a receipt and I am happy to help, but the parts we have are the parts we have, they do what they do and I cannot make it another way.
 
I don't post often but this struck me as fishy. First off I owned many tunze products, old and new, and had always have great experience with the products quality and customer service. I have several vortech power heads also so I am not bias to one brand. To me quality and service is all I look for. By the way, anyone can go to a fish store and take picture of an unopened tunze. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for your feedback. As I told Tunze, it seems that I am a once in hundred customer thats gets bummed. Does not make me a liar!!!!!!!

You see how I can hold my respect and integrity even when attacked. Reference the pic for your own fishy story! Unless you believe I took my pc to LFS to take pic and post. I think its time to contact Tunze Corporate. This has gone far enough.
It does not even make sense. I asked for nothing from Tunze and they asked for nothing from me, so how is it that I am lying and brow beating people, for What? I WANT NOTHING FROM TUNZE!

I do apologize for stating the wrong pump. Mine are both Tunze 6045!

THIS THREAD WAS STARTED SIMPLY TO MAKE PUBLIC AN ISSUE I PERSONALLY HAD WITH MY PUMPS AND MY EXPERIENCE, WHICH IS CLEARLY EXPLOITED HERE IN THIS THREAD, WITH TUNZE.



FYI: I drove all the way from Akron to Vermilion which is a 45 min drive( closest tunze dealer to me ), just to take pic and go through this; YOUR RIGHT!
Cause a couple hundred dollars is worth it. I wipe my *** with that money buddies!
