Tunze 6025

I'm looking for more flow in my tank and was hoping for a wave action but I'm on a budget. I have a reefkeeper lite does anyone know if I could run a tunze 6025 on the wavemaker function?

Not really, two problems, one the pump is not designed for a constant on/off cycle, you will break it. Second it takes a controllable pump to create a wave, waves are created with the on/off in a freaction of a second. If you want a wave, get a setup designed to create it.

I hate to suggest an unproven Chinese product but the WP40 is about as budget friendly as it gets for a pump that will created a wave. Unfortunately you don't have enough posts to see the for sale section, there are always good deals on used pumps.

Sirreal63 is right, the 6025s do not like to be turned off/on....not even say overnight to reduce flow.....these pumps do best being left on 24/7. Have you thought of trying to get the discontinued nano wave maker from Tunze? I've see them in the sellin forum for a few hundred, if that's in ur budget.
