Tunze 6055 clicks

Hello,

trying the wave function with my pair of 6055 match to a 7096 controller.

They click on start up/stop.

Recs?
Will the new Bushing and attenuation disk help with this?



Also I am considering a home made wave box for the 6055.
I am planning a 4 * 4 *8 box with a forward port for the 6055.
Any recs?

It depends on pump age, 6055.740 may be all you need but if the pump is more than 2 years old, you may also need 6055.700 (drive unit).

You could try a DIY wavebox, the main recommendation would be that the box be fairly sealed so the only inlet and outlet is the pump outlet and it needs to be able to take in air at the top, I think 3.5 square by 8 would be sufficient.

do I need another flow device? Does the wave action count towards the 10 - 20x turnover recommended for softies?

How big is the tank?

75 gallons
std 4 ft left to right 18 inch front to back.

The ideal for that tank would be 2 6055 and a 6206 Nano Wavebox in most cases, for heavy SPS I would get 2 6105 instead of 2 6055.

will the storm cycle also blast my 6055 if it is on the wavemaker setting on circuit #3?

I have not tried this but I am fairly certain storm mode would not use the 3 and 4th sockets if in wavemode and if it does, it would likely not blast the pump but rather run the actual wavemode for the assigned duration.
