Tunze 6055 Generations

I am looking at purchasing a used 6055 and am confused with all of the different generations. Any chance you can give me a quick breakdown on the different generations and the feature changes between them? Also the approximate time-frame that they were produced? I tried searching but came up empty handed. Thanks.

There has only been 1 6055, however, like all of our products they are constantly refined and updated but here is a breakdown. Note the July revision is not so much a revision as what was already planned, we released some early (fewer than 200 worldwide, only about 50 came to the US) with an older shaft we had in stock, due to impatient customers with pre release orders.

Introduced June 2007
Revised July 2007 for 316 shaft to 316TI shaft
Revised Oct 2007 with new Luran plastic clamp
Revised January 2008 to thicker 6025.740 black plastic disk and tighter fitting propeller on shaft
Revised Oct 2010 with new silence clamp and 6055.740 anti attenuation disk and blue propeller blade (cosmetic change)

Awesome thanks. The one that I am looking at is about 1.5 years old with the white propeller. I am not too concerned about the silence clamp, but what does the anti attenuation disk add? Can that be added to the white propeller version or do I need the blue one?

You can add the anti attenuation disk, it reduces clicking noise in wave mode.

I am purchasing the 6055. I want to make sure I purchase the latest version of the pump. How can I tell I am purchasing the most recent update?

If you by them new from a dealer, I can't imagine any issue of getting older models, the last design change was a new blue propeller and silence disk and silence clamp in about October 2010.

Any of the dealers listed on Tunze.com should have product with all the recent updates, this model pump is a fast seller and I can't imagine anyone having year old stock.
