Tunze 6060 or Koralia #4?

Thats just bs IMO. We all try to experiment with the cheapest and always and i mean always end up getting the top off the line thats just the way it is ,especially in a hobby such as this one when a minimal error can cause a disaster-economically and so forth. Anyways i've tried multiple Ph's during the years, the most recent MJMODS1200 x 4 by far the best DYI as far as flow and so forth. But If you can get a piece of equipment thats worth every penny and is backed up by excellent warranty why not in a hobby that U pay 10 bucks for a pound of rock LOL. Cmon
ANywyas I just gave inn and orered two 6100 with a controller.

You on the tunze payroll?

So people saying tunze never really said why the 6060 was better. It's probably a 'better' name. If there is a good reason why a tunze stream 6060 with a dispersed flow at 1500 gph at 137$ is better than a koralia 4 at 50$ with a dispersed flow and 1200 gph, than I will probably get the 6060s. The 6060 cannot be controlled, and neither can the koralias I don't think. So for 300 gph less but you can buy almost 3 of the koralias for 1 6060, is the koralia better or is there a reason why to pay the extra amount for 2 tunze?

Thanks.

I've seen more threads and pictures of defective tunze nanos that koralias as well. Just sayin.

I believe the koralias can be hooked up to the seio controller. At least that is what I have read.
And yes, it is Vegas. I can't go there enough. Haven't stayed at Paris, but I like the picture.

ccorpse27- Are you on Hydor's payroll?

T5Nitro- I have two Tunze 6100's so I am obviously biased, especially since I have never owned Koralias. But I don't own Koralias because my Tunze have given me exactly what I wanted, good flow. Tunze is a company with a stellar reputation, I can't see you being disappointed with their performance.

I have never owned a Hydro Pump but I own 2 Tunze pumps and both are very good quite pumps. Plus you get very good customer service with all Tunze products.

Tunze

....ccorpse27....in just your short time here and few posts you have already come across as being very rude.
You can give your thoughts, opinions, experiences without being snide(sp?).

And if you make a habit of going the cheap route more often than not you'll regret it and that's through a few years of experience.

I couldn't agree more, ccorpse27 comments are inflammatory and are more of a hindrance than a help to this forum.

I currently own both Tunze and Koralia. The Koralia 3s are in a bucket in my garage. I've been following these Koralia v. Tunze threads and can't seem to understand why people are so polarized on this issue. I tried them based on price and didn't like them: not big deal.

Yes Tunze is more expensive but the Streams (not nanos) are hands down better in the flow department probably around the same as Koralia in $/gal/hr. They only cost an extra $60 or so (not really when you factor in you have to buy 2 Koralias to match a Tunze stream). This is an expensive hobby and just a fish or a coral costs at least that much.

What gives here? Buy what you like and don't insult others for buying something different.

I don't think anyone should be thought of a "moneybags" because they spent an extra $60 and like their flow.
