HI Roger,

I came home tonight and noticed that my 6060 has stalled (I have no idea for how long) I took it out of the water and the pump was very hot. I pulled out the impeller and it looks like the inside was warped, most likely due to heat? I snapped this pic:

The pump is about 6 months old. What had caused this? I didn't see any sand or anything that might have gotten stuck inside. How do I get it repaired? :(

Thanks in advance

Please send it back to us for replacement. Our address is

Tunze USA
305 Victor St
Austin TX 78753

Please include a note with your return address. Turn around is about a day so you won't be with out your 6060 for long.

It is a plastic issue and not due to any fault of the motor, that is from a pump made early last year, I thought we had replaced every one of them but apparently a few still made it to market. We had changed the plastic formula to comply with a new TUV (basically German equivalent of UL) mandate and the new formula didn't work well. We only used this formula for about 4 weeks before we changed to a new plastic that required new equipment as it has a much higher melting point. The plastic cooled in such a way it formed layers and the layers would delaminate and fold over each other.

HI Rodney,

I shipped the pump last thursday. Would you please let me know the status of the pump?

thanks

I am pretty sure I replaced the motor and it was sent back already, if you PM me your name I can verify.
